It is always difficult choosing new spectacles and so we are here to advise on frame and lens choice. It can often seem like a minefield with so many choices available, but we will guide you through by finding out your exact requirements for your day-to-day tasks and will give you all of the available options. We are happy to answer any questions you might have, and will always give our honest opinion, so that your needs are best met.

Most of the spectacle lens glazing is done on the premises to ensure that your spectacles are glazed to the highest possible standards. The exception to this is with rimless frames, which we send out to a specialist rimless glazing company.

Contact Lenses

As an independent practice we have a wide range of lenses for fitting and supply. Some of the lenses available are: Acuvue and Surevue products including the new Acuvue Advance lens, Ciba Focus Dailies and Monthly lenses, Cooper Vision products such as Proclear.

If there is a particular lens you require please ask Lucy, and she will be happy to advise you. Contact Lens solutions are also available at the practice, so you need never run out.

Sunglasses

We also have a comprehensive range of sunglasses, both prescription and non-prescription. We are stockists of Maui Jim, Moschino etc. We are happy to help with any optical requirement you may have, whether it is a specific frame you are looking for, or just something unusual. We have a wide selection of spectacle frames on display, but if there is a specific frame you require please ask, as we can usually get if for you to try. As we are independent we deal with a wide selection of spectacle lens companies including:- Essilor, Nikon, Zeiss, Hoya, Pentax, Kodak etc.
